Spiritual Direction with Dianne Edleman, PhD 

As a spiritual director, I hold open a safe, welcoming, non-judgmental space in which you can share your story, examine your concerns, clarify your beliefs, and learn how to cultivate greater spiritual consciousness and connection with Spirit in all areas of your life.

I listen. I occasionally ask questions in a manner designed to stimulate fruitful new thinking. I can suggest helpful spiritual practices or resources if you wish; but I never tell you what to believe, how to feel, or what to do in any given situation. 

That last point bears emphasizing. Spiritual direction is not psychotherapy, counseling, or consulting and is never a substitute for advice rendered by medical, legal, or financial professionals. 

How often do we meet?
I meet with clients personally in my Raleigh home and virtually through FaceTime calls, Google Meet, or Zoom. How often we meet is up to you. Traditionally, people come for spiritual direction once a month. If you are struggling with a particular issue, however, you may elect to come more often for a while until you are comfortable with less frequent visits. 

How much does it cost?
Our initial get-acquainted meeting of up to 30 minutes is free of charge and without obligation. After that, I work on a sliding scale of $75 to $95 per hourly session paid in advance of or during our time together. 

Cancellations.
If you need to cancel a scheduled session, please let me know by phone, email, or text at least 24 hours in advance to avoid forfeiting your fee.
